Cooking x Graphic design
I like to cook but I wouldn’t call myself a chef. Looking into our current food system, I see a lot of problems regarding sustainability and waste. In my design practice I like to combine this interest of more sustainable food creation with my designing.
Ideas start in the supermarket, in shopping carts, with conversations between customers, in my own kitchen, trash bin or refrigerator. During these moments I start thinking, random ideas or experiments pop up, combining and basing them on research, they result in visuals that tell a story.
These visuals are meals consisting of only products from Holland, a collection of found grocery lists, a tablecloth made out of mesh fruit nets, my minor publication on seasonal vegetables, and sometimes real recipes.
